Sponsor. The Promotion is sponsored by West Edmonton Volkswagen (the "Sponsor"), 10220 170 Street Northwest, Edmonton, Alberta, T5S 1N9.
Promotion Dates. The Promotion ("Promotion Period") begins on November 28, 2025 at 3:59 pm MST and ends on April 30, 2026 at 11:59 PM MST ("Promotion End Date").
Prize. One prize is available: twelve months of lease payments on a 2025 Volkswagen ID.Buzz vehicle (approximate retail value is $89,000 + Taxes).
Odds of winning. Odds of winning are dependent upon the number of entries received before the Promotion End Date.
Eligibility. The Promotion is open to legal residents of Alberta (excluding residents of Quebec), who: (a) have reached the age of majority in the province or territory in which they reside as of November 1, 2025; (b) hold a valid driver's license; and (c) have fully completed the Entry Form (as defined below). This Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations. It is void outside the geographical location specified above and wherever prohibited by law.
How to Enter. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. During the Promotion Period, any eligible entrant can enter the Promotion in one of the following four ways:
To be eligible, the entry (regardless of the method of entry) must be submitted and received during the Promotion Period in accordance with these Rules. Entries must be complete and are subject to verification by the Sponsor at its sole discretion in accordance with the "Verification" section below. All eligible entries received during the Promotion Period will be included in a random draw to determine the winner.
Entries that are late, lost, stolen, illegible, contain false information, are damaged, misdirected, or incomplete, or otherwise fail to comply with these Rules are void. Proof of submission (such as a confirmation or thank you screen message) does not constitute proof of actual receipt of an entry by the Sponsor.
By submitting an entry, the entrant agrees to comply with these Rules.
Entry Limit. There is a limit of one entry per person during the Promotion Period, regardless of the method of entry. If it is discovered by the Sponsor (using any evidence or other information made available to or otherwise discovered by the Sponsor) that any person has attempted to: (a) submit more than one entry; and/or (b) use multiple names, identities, email addresses and/or any automated, macro, script, robotic or other system(s) or program(s) to enter or otherwise participate in or disrupt this Promotion, then that person may be disqualified from the Promotion in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor. The Released Parties (as defined below) are not responsible for late, lost, misdirected, delayed, incomplete or incompatible entries, all of which are void.
Verification: Eligible entrants (regardless of the method of entry) must complete the Entry Form in its entirety, and are subject to verification at any time and for any reason. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to require proof of identity and/or eligibility (in a form acceptable to the Sponsor, including without limitation, government issued photo identification) for the purposes of verifying: (a) an individual's eligibility to participate in this Promotion; (b) the eligibility and/or legitimacy of any entry entered (or purportedly entered) for the purposes of this Promotion; and/or (c) for any other reason the Sponsor deems necessary, in its sole and absolute discretion, for the purposes of administering this Promotion in accordance with these Rules. Failure to provide such proof to the complete satisfaction of the Sponsor in a timely manner may result in disqualification in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor.
The sole determinant of the time for the purposes of a valid entry in this Promotion will be the Sponsor's clock at the Dealership.
Prize. One prize is available: twelve months of lease payments on a 2025 Volkswagen ID.Buzz vehicle (approximate retail value is [$89,000]). At the end of the lease term, the winner must return the vehicle to the Sponsor.
If the winner forfeits or is disqualified for any reason, no prize substitution or compensation will be provided, and the prize will remain the property of the Sponsor and will not be awarded to the winner. The prize will only be awarded if properly claimed in accordance with these Rules. The prize is non-transferable and may not be assigned, substituted, redeemed, or exchanged for cash or any other prize, except as expressly provided herein. The prize cannot be combined with other discounts, promotions, or special offers. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of comparable or greater value, for any reason whatsoever, at its sole and absolute discretion. The winner must take delivery of the prize from the designated dealership where the prize was redeemed, or as otherwise instructed by the Sponsor. All other costs related to prize acceptance, delivery, and use, not expressly stated herein, are the sole responsibility of the winner.
The winner shall assume any and all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by entering, participating in this Promotion or the use or redemption of the prize.
Skill-testing Question. The Selected Entrant (as defined below) will be required, as a condition of winning the prize, to correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, whether electronically or otherwise, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question administered by the Sponsor via telephone at a pre-arranged, mutually convenient time.
Winner Selection and Confirmation. On May 2026 11:59 am MST at the Dealership the Sponsor, or an employee, agent or other representative of the Sponsor, will conduct a random draw from all eligible entries received before the Promotion End Date and select the potential winner (the "Selected Entrant"). The Selected Entrant will be deemed a winner if they meet all of the eligibility criteria set out in these Rules. If a Selected Entrant does not meet the eligibility criteria, he/she will be disqualified and will not receive the prize and another entrant will be selected by way of a random draw from the remaining eligible entries. Before being declared a winner, the Selected Entrant will be required to: (a) correctly answer the Sponsor's skill-testing question; (b) sign and return, within five (5) days of receiving notification, the prize acceptance form along with the official Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release (the "Winner Release"); and (c) comply with all other Rules, all in the sole discretion of Sponsor. If the required documents are not fully executed and returned within the specified time, the prize notification is returned as undeliverable, or the Selected Entrant fails to comply with these Rules, the prize will be automatically forfeited.
The Selected Entrant will be notified within [5] business days of the Promotion draw and will be contacted via the telephone number or email address provided in the Entry Form. Up to [3] attempts will be made to contact the Selected Entrant within [5] business days following the draw. A Selected Entrant that does not or cannot accept a prize may be forfeited and a new Selected Entrant will be selected by random draw, in the Sponsor's sole discretion. Sponsor is not responsible for the failure for any reason whatsoever of a Selected Entrant to receive notification or for the Sponsor to receive a Selected Entrant's response.
Disputes regarding identity of entrant: If the identity of a Selected Entrant is disputed, the entry will be deemed to have been submitted by the individual whose name and address is on the Entry Form, provided they match the name and address on the Selected Entrant's driver's license.
Winning and Claiming the Prize: To claim the prize, the Selected Entrant must:
Failure to properly claim or collect the price in accordance with these Rules will result in forfeiture of the prize.
Release and Indemnification. The winner: (a) confirms compliance with the Rules; and (b) agrees to release, discharge and hold harmless the Sponsor, any participating dealerships, and any company of any kind associated in any way with the Promotion, and each of their respective parents, affiliated companies, subsidiaries, distributors, printers, and advertising and promotional agencies, and each of their respective directors, officers, employees, assigns, and all others associated with the administration, development and execution of the Promotion (the "Released Parties") from and against any and all manner of action, cause of action, claim or demand, loss or injury, use or misuse of the prize or any travel related thereto and the use of entries by the Sponsor, suit, debt, covenant, contract, including legal fees and expenses, whatsoever, including but not limited to, claims based on negligence, breach of contract and fundamental breach, failure of any third-party contractor or supplier used in connection with any aspect of the Promotion to perform or deliver any goods or services, any act of God or any other event beyond the Released Parties' control, any dissatisfaction of any kind by a winner with any aspect of the Promotion or the prize, liability for physical injury, death, or property damage which the entrant, guests, their heirs, successors or assigns have, might have or could have suffered, by reason of or arising out of the entrant's participation in the Promotion and/or in connection with the acceptance, possession or use or misuse of the prize (including any injury or harm resulting from the use or misuse of the vehicle) as awarded. The winner shall indemnify the Released Parties against any loss, damage or expense, including legal fees, that any of the Released Parties may suffer or incur as a result of any non-compliance by entrants with any of the Rules or participation in the Promotion and/or in connection with the acceptance and/or exercise by an entrant of the prize, and the use of entries by the Sponsor.
The Sponsor is not responsible for: (a) incorrect or inaccurate entry information that may affect a person's ability to participate in the Promotion or be awarded the prize, including but not limited to human error, technical malfunctions, lost or delayed entries for any reason, mail failures, omission, errors in Promotion related materials or in the printing or advertising of these Rules, the administration of the Promotion, or the processing and announcement of the winner, or any combination thereof, and entries that fail to fully comply with these Rules; (b) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (c) lost, incomplete, delayed, damaged, undeliverable, inaccurate, incomplete, illegible, mutilated or misdirected entries or Winner Release; (d) injury or damage to entrants' computers or to any other individual's computer related to or resulting from participating in, or downloading any material regarding the Promotion or accepting the prize; (e) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant's participation in the Promotion or receipt or use or misuse of the prize, including any related travel and the use of entries by Sponsor; (f) the security or privacy of information transmitted via computer networks or for breaches of privacy due to interference by third-party computer hackers or otherwise; or (g) late, lost, misdirected or unsuccessful efforts to notify a potential winner.
Other Conditions. The Sponsor reserves the right to terminate or amend this Promotion at any time and in any way, without prior notice to entrants. Without limiting the foregoing, if, for any reason, the Promotion is not capable of running as originally planned for any reason, the Sponsor reserves the right to cancel the Promotion and conduct a random draw from all previously received eligible entries received by the Promotion End Date.
Publicity and Entrant Information. By participating in the Promotion, entrants consent to the use of their name, address, email address, postal code, telephone number, social media handle(s), comments and image, voice, and/or likeness whether on videotape, photograph or any other means, for the administration of the Promotion, advertising, marketing, promotional and trade purposes or any other publicity carried out by the Sponsor and its designated agencies, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, worldwide in perpetuity, without further compensation, notification or permission from the entrant unless prohibited by law.
In Case Of Disputes: Each participant agrees that (a) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with this Promotion, or the prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; (b) any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Promotion, and in no event will any participant be entitled to receive attorneys' fees or any other legal costs; and (c) under no circumstances will the entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, and consequential damages, and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.
Law. The Promotion is void where prohibited by law and is subject to all applicable Canadian federal, provincial, territorial, municipal and local laws. This Promotion shall be governed exclusively by the laws of the Province of Alberta, including all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Rules, rights and obligations between entrants and the Sponsor, and procedural provisions, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules. Any dispute shall be adjudicated by the courts sitting in Edmonton, Alberta.
Rule Amendments. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to amend or modify these Rules, or modify, cancel or suspend this Promotion, without prior notice for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation in the event that any cause beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsor corrupts, or threatens to corrupt, the security or proper administration of the Promotion.
Intellectual Property. All intellectual property, including but not limited to trademarks, logos, designs, promotional materials, web pages, source codes, images, drawings, illustrations, slogans and representations are owned by the Sponsor. All rights reserved. Unauthorized copying or use of any of the Sponsor's intellectual property without the express written consent of the Sponsor is strictly prohibited.
Social Media. The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by any social media platform on which the Contest may have been promoted and/or publicized, including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, and/or Twitter.
